Treasure Hunt
2nd September

We enjoyed a good afternoon out on the Treasure Hunt which was expertly organised by Doug Allan. On the day it rained heavily all morning, then just as if it had been planned the rain stopped just before 2.30 and it stayed dry all afternoon so we were very lucky. We then enjoyed a meal afterwards at La Piazza. The turnout was on the low side due to holidays and other commitments, but 14 of us took part in 4 cars and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (I would say that as my team won!). Many thanks to Doug for all his work in organising the outing.

Sulby Water Treatment Plant
9th August

We thoroughly enjoyed our outing to the Water Treatment Plant. The visit was very interesting and informative and we all appreciated the time and trouble taken by the two staff members who were our guides, our sincere thanks go to them.

Laxey Glen Mills

On 19th July we enjoyed a tour of Laxey Glen Mills, thanks to Sandra and Peter for making our visit very interesting and informative. We ended the evening with a meal at La Mona Lisa.

Snaefell

A few members took a tram trip to the top of Snaefell on 11th July after their planned trip on the Balmoral was cancelled due to strong winds.

Club Barbecue

Our Annual Barbecue was held at the home of John and Diane Hall who were as usual excellent hosts and an enjoyable time was had by all. The weather was warm, the drinks were cold, the food was mouth watering, and the odd light shower didn't dampen our spirits in the slightest. The occasion was not quite as well supported as usual, maybe due to lots of other events taking place and the weather.
