Moods of Mann Dorothy Flint won 1st prize for a photo submitted to be included in the new Moods of Mann book. Patricia Tutt, John Hall and Ruth Nicholls also won prizes. Congratulations to them all - below are photos of them being presented with their prizes.
Milntown - 4th September A good number of members had a great guided tour of Milntown House, and viewed the vintage cars and motorcycles. Many thanks to the Estate Manager and staff for a very interesting tour. Afterwards we enjoyed a meal at Glen Helen Lodge, thanks to John Hall for organising this great outing.
Belfast Day Trip A few members went on a day trip to Belfast, they went on a trip northwards on the coast in beautiful weather, visiting the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge and The Causeway. Here are a few photos from Dorothy Flint.
Davison's Ice Cream Factory - 7th August 2008 A good turnout of about 20 members enjoyed a very interesting tour of Davison's Ice Cream and chocolate factory. Afterwards we had a meal at the Highwayman. Many thanks to George and Ian Davison for showing us round and to Eddie and Doreen for organising the visit and meal. In the group photo I have highlighted where Rosie is - I know she wouldn't want to be left out of the photo as she looked so delightful in her hair and face-net!

Tall Ship Festival, Liverpool 19th - 21st July 2008 Photos from the Albert Dock and Crosby Beach.
Tynwald Day 7th July 2008 Our display at Tynwald and the hard working team who set up the boards and photos.
3rd July 2008 - Visit to
Knockaloe to see Wild Flowers An enjoyable and interesting tour around the wildflower beds with Andree Dubbeldam who gave an informative talk as we went. Afterwards, we enjoyed a meal at The Highwayman. Thanks to Doug for organising the visit, Doreen for organising the meal, and most of all to Andree for taking the time and trouble to show us around.
Calf of Man Trip 14th June 2008 A visit to the Calf of Man from Port St Mary was enjoyed by ten members and friends. They had a few hours ashore in mostly sunny weather and were taken there and back by Juan Clague and Alex Maddrell. Here are a selection of photos provided by Dorothy Flint and John Hall.
