Summer Trips - 2016
This year, the members of the WPS enjoyed 4 Trips out, all followed, in our usual social way, by a meal, much enjoyed by everyone.
May 19th saw 17 members gathering at the Met office, receiving an eductational, and very interesting talk from Kirsty Pendlebury. This was followed by a Meal at Bar Restaurant Two Six, at the other end (outside airport) of runway 26.
July 27th. 13 members met at Bushy's Brewery where we learnt a lot more about Hops than we thought possible. This was followed by a meal at The Horse and Plough
August 18th, We met at the Post Office Sorting Office and were given a guided tour around, seeing exactly what happened to our mail! Then on to a meal at the Hawthorne. There were 24 members on this trip
June 30th. A trip to Kirk Michael had been arranged, to see the ARE Motorcycle Collection, which 18 members had been looking forward to, but unfortunately, due to illness, it was cancelled on the day, so we decided to carry on with the usual meal, which was at the Highwayman.
